REEF™ Fish Identification & Surveying
TAKE PART IN THE GLOBAL EFFORT TO CATALOG AND PROTECT REEF FISH
Students who choose the REEF™ Fish Volunteer Survey Project observe and catalog reef fish and submit their data to the Reef Environmental Education Foundation’s international online database for further analysis. Students learn to identify common reef fish species and recognize their key features and behaviors. Students also explore threats to reef fish survival, including over-fishing, habitat destruction, invasive species, and pollution.
