SeaTrek students and staff monitor local lionfish populations by finding and cataloging invasive lionfish. Students also have the opportunity to join lionfish snorkels and participate in dissections! Students learn about the biology of lionfish and the impact that invasive species can have upon the ecology and health of coral reef ecosystems.
