Captain Kat Daniel and Captain Monk
Financial Director of Operations, Captain, NAUI Course Director Trainer, ASA Instructor

Kat and the late Monk created Seatrek in 2002 bringing a wealth of knowledge of sailing, scuba diving and youth education. They both hold U.S. Coast Guard 100-ton Masters Licenses, are NAUI Course Directors, and are First Aid, CPR, and DAN Oxygen Administration Instructors. Their combined experience on live-aboard dive vessels spans 40 years in locations including the Caymans, Honduras, Mexico, Florida, Australia, Costa Rica, and Hawaii.

Late Captain Monk had over 30 years of experience on live-aboard dive vessels. He developed and directed several student diving programs and served as a research diver and dive supervisor for Texas A&M University, San Jacinto College and the Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary. Captain Monk left his legacy and mark on SeaTrek knowing the program would continue educating young outdoor enthusiast for years to come.

Captain Kat has a B.S. degree in Physical Geography and a M.Ed. in Elementary Education from the University of Michigan. She teaches math and science at a private school in Michigan while raising three active kids. She is an avid sailor, having years of experience running world-class live-aboard dive vessels.

Captain Kris Kordyzon
Executive Director of Operations, Captain, NAUI Instructor Trainer, ASA Instructor

Kris has a great love for the outdoors and anything to do with the water.  He enjoys hunting, fishing, camping, hiking and most of all spending time in and on the water.  Kris has been an integral part of the SeaTrek crew for over 20 years.  Kris started out as a NAUI Divemaster candidate and worked his way up to Instructor trainer and Program director.  After having children, he focused on helping behind the scenes with marketing and preparing for the next summer.  After working in education as a teacher and administrator Kris has returned to the SeaTrek forefront as Executive Director of operations.  Kris is a seasoned sailor with a wealth of knowledge about SeaTrek and diving in the Great Lakes, Mexico, Jamaica and the British Virgin Islands.

Captain Max Klemm
Program Director, Captain, NAUI Instructor Trainer, ASA Instructor

Max has been passionate about ecology and biology since he was 5-years-old running around the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago. His hobbies while on the boat include practicing his invertebrate identification and looking for sea turtles. He is currently majoring in marine biology at University of the Virgin Islands on the island of Saint Thomas where he is also the president of the UVI Sea Turtle Club. Max started at SeaTrek as a student in 2015 and worked his way up going through our ShIP intern program, eventually joining our biology team. In the following years he became a captain and NAUI Instructor.

Captain Angie Cowan
Science Program Consultant, Captain, Scuba Instructor Trainer

Science, scuba, travel and education have defined Angie’s life and career. While earning a B.S. in Biology at Colorado State University, she studied marine biology, anthropology, and conservation in Australia and Belize. In 2007 Angie earned her Teaching Credential and M.A. in Teaching from UC-Irvine and became part of the SeaTrek family. She was a National Science Foundation GK-12 Fellow while earning her M.S. degree in Earth and Environmental Science at Indiana University where her research focused on algal ecology and water quality. Since 2010 she has worked with the National Geographic Society as a curriculum writer/reviewer. In 2014 she was an adjunct faculty member with Indiana University Purdue University-Indianapolis and developed a Coastal Environments & Sustainability field course in the Virgin Islands. As long as she’s in, near or under the water, all is well in her world.

Captain Andrew “The Bos” Boswell
Captain, NAUI Instructor Trainer

“The Bos” has been with SeaTrek over 15 years and is a certified NAUI Instructor. He is a graduate of San Diego State University with a degree Sustainability. Born in Dallas, Texas, he moved to Kennebunkport, Maine at the age of six and grew up exploring tide pools and scouring mud flats. He went through SeaTrek’s ShIP internship program in 2011. Bos was also Capt. Monk’s first mate for five summers. In addition to his first mate duties, his favorite job at SeaTrek is teaching his students and fellow staff members all about the inner workings of the boats.

Captain Kirsten Kendler
Captain, NAUI Instructor

Kirsten has been a part of the SeaTrek family for 14 years. She is from Chicago, IL, and is currently completing her Physician Assistant degree at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine. Her connection to the ocean began early—she has been traveling to the British Virgin Islands since she was a toddler, fostering a lifelong passion for the sea.
Over the years, Kirsten has voyaged on many of the Explorer programs, and she now works on main program as a Captain and NAUI Instructor. What she loves most about her role at SeaTrek is the opportunity to share her passion with students. She finds it incredibly rewarding to watch their confidence grow, their skills improve, and their excitement come alive as they explore the underwater world—while also learning how to contribute to daily life aboard a vessel.

Captain Audrey Goldfield
Program Director, Captain, NAUI Instructor, ShIP Coordinator, Social Media Manager

Audrey is from Raleigh, North Carolina, and recently graduated with a BS in Marine Biology from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Her adventurous spirit first drew her to SeaTrek, where she has grown from student to intern to staff, and now serves as Program Director, Intern Coordinator, and Advertising Manager. In her new roles, Audrey oversees SeaTrek’s social media, guides the ShIP intern program, and helps shape the program she’s loved for so many years. She is also a USCG licensed captain and NAUI scuba instructor, sharing her passion for the ocean both above and below the surface. One of Audrey's favorite parts of the job is mentoring students—helping them grow, thrive, and discover their own strengths through their SeaTrek experience. Audrey loves that her summers combine her passions for photography, diving, sailing, and marine biology, and she’s looking forward to another season full of adventures and smiling faces!! 

Captain Adam Miller
Program Director, Captain, NAUI Instructor, ShIP Coordinator

Adam has been part of the SeaTrek staff for five years, beginning as a SHiP member and working his way up to Captain, Instructor, Intern Coordinator, and now Program Director. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, he spent four years in Myrtle Beach, SC before returning home. Adam earned his degree in Marine Science from Coastal Carolina University and is currently pursuing a master’s in Environmental Science and Management at Duquesne University. He loves diving, teaching, and mentoring. Adams favorite part about working at SeaTrek is watching students grow into confident leaders during their time on board. He is excited to return for another incredible summer on the water!

Maggie Stevenson
Lead NAUI Instructor, Chief Medical Officer

Maggie is originally from Corvallis, Oregon, and recently relocated to Germany, where she works in the scuba travel industry while also volunteering remotely with several dive organizations. She discovered scuba diving while studying abroad in South Australia and went on to become a NAUI Instructor. Most of her diving and teaching experience comes from the cold waters of the Pacific Northwest, where she has also led group trips to Vancouver Island. After graduating, Maggie also became an EMT and spent three years working in an advanced wound care and hyperbaric medicine facility in Portland, Oregon, where she earned her Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) certification. Maggie brings a unique combination of dive training, planning, and medical expertise to SeaTrek, supporting both staff and students. She is passionate about inspiring and supporting the next generation of ocean advocates and takes great joy in watching her students grow into confident divers and lifelong ocean enthusiasts. In her free time, she enjoys reading, snuggling her cats, visiting the neighborhood goats, traveling, photography, and drinking tea.

Fisher Reitz
Lead Biologist, NAUI Divemaster

Originally from the landlocked Midwest, Fisher developed a strong passion for the ocean that led him to attend SeaTrek as a student before returning as Lead Biologist. He is currently based in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he is pursuing a degree in Biology. Outside of his academic work, Fisher stays closely connected to the water as a local divemaster and by running fishing charters in the Gulf. He also has a deep interest in sea turtles and has spent the past two years conducting research on their populations along the coasts of Florida and Cuba.

Lucy Thomas
Airport Liaison, Boat Biologist, Purser

Lucy has been a Seatrek staff member for 3 years, beginning in the ShIP program, and has now worked her way to Boat Biologist, Lead Purser, and Lead Airport Liaison. She is from Western New York, but has bounced around, living as far as South Korea, and currently resides in Massachusetts. She is pursuing a BS in Marine Science and a BS in Applied Mathematics. She loves the sunrises, marine science, snorkeling, and sailing, and can't wait to help more students discover a new appreciation for the oceans.

Ella Kyle
Boat Biologist

Ella is originally from Ohio and now attends the University of Tampa, studying marine science. She has a passion for coral conservation and reef restoration. She attended Seatrek for two years before becoming a ShIP member. Now she is working as a boat biologist. Ella loves diving, sailing, and teaching others new things. She’s enthusiastic about inspiring curiosity and helping people connect with the ocean. Ella is excited for a summer filled with learning, adventure, and unforgettable experiences!

Cody Clark
Medical Consultant, NAUI Divemaster 

Cody resides in the great state of Ohio. In 2019, he graduated from the Bio-Med Science Academy. Cody graduated from Stark State College with an associate of emergency fire services, emergency medical services. Cody will be working landslide this season, going back to school this summer to get is associates in registered nursing. Then continuing on to study for nurse practitioner. In his downtime, Cody enjoys snowboarding, kayaking, and any activity that takes him outdoors. SeaTrek is excited to have Cody in a consulting role to share his knowledge and love for SeaTrek.

Captain Micah "Bubba" Daniel
Captain, NAUI Divemaster

Micah “Bubba” hails from Flushing, Michigan. He is a captain, NAUI divemaster, and run water-sports. He has spent the past three years training at the Great Lakes Maritime Academy in Traverse City Michigan, working towards his US Coast Guard Unlimited Tonnage Mate's license to sail commercially on the Great Lakes and Oceans. Until then, he's carrying out the family tradition at SeaTrek BVI, following in his parents' footsteps and putting his skills to work. Micah is passionate about the ocean, adventure, and exploration. Micah is always ready for the next challenge whether at sea or beyond. His favorite part about SeaTrek is seeing students form new friendships and become as excited as he is about getting to go on a dive!
